Samantha, Rosie, and Maximus are family dogs. They go with us from work, to the barn, to play. Their puppies are being raised as we would like a puppy started for us. They start in the house with our family. As they get older, we add turf to their environment and change it out regularly to get them used to toileting on the grass. As they begin to play they get more and more grass time to instill in them the best place to potty. The last week before they leave, we begin crate training them by putting them with blankets and toys in their individual crates and gradually moving them further apart to get used to being alone. Our prayer is that each one is easy to potty train and brings blessings, instead of frustration, to their new owners. They leave our care about 8 weeks old, when we are positive they have reacted well to their first shots and are comfortable with being separated from their siblings at night time while in their crates.
The other dogs in our breeding program are owned by family members. Those dogs live with their individual families and occasionally that family will breed them. None of our dogs are raised in a kennel environment. |
